Petra und Jörg Nettelroth “Here we are, send us!” Jes 6,8
Our four children and 13 grandchildren are living in 4 countries in 3 continents:
- Corah, married to Malcolm Duerod with Joy, Sion, Aron, Mira and Nicholas (Sarajevo BIH)
- Judith, married to Schwarz Manano with Monica, Floella Amiya, Amara Afoyorwoth and Zephaniah Jakisa(Kampala UG)
- Nils, married to Jana Nettelroth with Elissa and Josias Fynn (Bremen D)
- Jonas, married to Brianna Nettelroth with Wynona Beverly and ???(Bradenton USA)
We are born in Germany. Our story with God has been a very exciting one, filled with miracles, brokenness and mercy. Ask us about it, we like to tell our story.
Petra’s main task was to support the development of our four children, and Jörg was a high-earning 24/7 tax advisor. We were active in church in different areas. Until God came into our life in a real and powerful way, and we got to know the power of the Holy Spirit.
“Lord, you can have everything, we want only what we need to live”, this was our mutual prayer (1999). We meant the excess, the “too much”, but God took us at our word. We lost almost everything material we owned. Instead, we have been experiencing his provision, his “father’s house”, ever since. On this way, God has connected us with many young adults in order to accompany them for a part of their journey and to share life with them. Seeing how God makes things new and changes people into His image, is amazing.
We want to be available to God’s working in this way with everything we have and are, everywhere on the world, wherever God wants to use us. We received our calling into missions when we were 56 and 52 years old. This is a confirmation of the Bible verse ?
1.Tim 4,12: Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
There’s no “too young” or “too old”. We can answer God’s call always and everywhere.
