We want God to lead us in how he wants to equip and encourage people.
We will help them to explore themselves, so that God is able to set free, what he puts inside them. From our sight this is similar to what Jesus did with his the people around him. We are like catalyst in this process. Something what is neue for a time to become unnecessary.
Why we are concentrated on individuals with our help in Uganda?
- cause it is our calling, to strengthen people into their own identity
- cause it is for cultural reasons very difficult to initiate a process of change within a group
- cause we think this kind of help is effective
Uganda is in need for good schools, orphanages, hygiene, good water, …
It is good to help in that way. On the other hand we could see, how people stopped to work cause of financial help. Help could be able to freeze the circumstances. “Why should I be engaged in building up a school, when Muzungus are doing ist?” We think it is fine to do such things. At the same time in needs a change of minds. We want to see:
- Ugandans, changing circumstances in their country
- Ugandans who multiply a process of change in a cultural adapted way.
Exactly there we see our place as catalysts in Uganda.
